Emmonak Water & Sewer System Improvements

Location: Emmonak, AK

Working directly for the City of Emmonak, CRW provided planning, surveying, design, permitting, and construction administration services for upgrades to the community’s piped water and sewer system. Primary design upgrades included installing helical piles to protect the system from seasonal flooding, replacing deteriorating service boxes, re-grading the vacuum sewer mains, reconfiguring the high/low pressure water system into four circulating loops, and repairing the glycol heat trace system. Challenges included coordinating the efforts of three different contractors, obtaining more than 100 easements, and completing two land trades to establish site control for the project.
