Prince William Sound Science Center

This fast-tracked, Design-Build project entailed design for a new two-story, 24,000 square-foot science center. Shortly after award in January of 2021, building material prices saw a dramatic increase. CRW expedited the structural design to allow the contractor to lock in material prices to keep the project on budget. With a reduced design window, CRW worked diligently with the design team to make rapid design decisions to meet the aggressive schedule. The structural systems for the building consisted of structural steel frame, concentric-braced frame, and reinforced concrete foundations.
