United States Air Force (USAF) Sparrevohn Long Range Radar Site

Location: Sparrenvohn AFS

CRW provided design, construction administration, and commissioning services for this design-build bulk fuel project for the USAF at the Sparrevohn Long Range Radar site in rural Alaska. The design included a bulk fuel tank farm with eight 17,000-gallon, skid-mounted, double-wall above ground storage tanks on a gravel pad foundation; tank manifold piping; pipe support systems; elevated tank access catwalks; a new pump house structure with a 3,000 LF welded steel pipeline; a new, prefabricated, skid mounted control building; an aircraft fueling receipt enclosure; and decommissioning of the old fuel tanks and pipeline.
